3 Large Japanese Companies in Automotive, Investment Banking & Pharmaceutical Industries

 

 

CHALLENGE:

 

This was a very interesting project. The three participating companies in the Automotive, Investment Banking & Pharmaceutical Industries were looking for ways to bring in new perspectives, promote diversity, and increase creativity and innovation to become more global. Large enterprises in well-established industries, the companies were working internationally, but not truly 'globally' across their organizations. They faced difficulty promoting diversity across their organizations and including overseas offices in major strategic initiatives. This program offered a unique, innovative approach that focused on learning from each other, creating diverse cross-company teams to explore opportunities to incorporate new innovations and disruptions into their organizations. 

  

RESULTS:

 

Participants gained collaboration, communication, and team effectiveness skills. Most importantly, they experienced a significant mindset shift. They left with concrete actions to apply in their daily work to value diversity, foster creativity and innovation, and ultimately improve team effectiveness. The companies continued this program for several years until the pandemic hit. We are now encouraging continuation in the form of an online version.
