Japanese company ready to overcome post-merger integration creates true synergy.

CHALLENGE:

 

Due to recent M&A and global expansion, the Japanese client found they were not able to create synergies with the newly-acquired overseas companies. They needed to boost the Japanese members' confidence, capability and mindset to work on a global scale, both in managing overseas subsidiaries and dealing with local clients. Before the program, people tended to blame their overseas colleagues for delays and quality issues. Many people had a negative attitude towards working with others outside of Japan.

 

RESULTS:

 

Through the program, Japanese participants realized they too are responsible for results, and they possess the ability to change their behavior and communication style for successful outcomes. They understood the importance and power of diversity and the need to be curious of other people's perspectives - this is the key to thinking globally and acting locally. Participant and client feedback was excellent and the HR department was extremely satisfied with the program.
